HOW TO GET THERE From Ladismith, follow the road to Calitzdorp / Oudtshoorn on the R62 for about 25km. At Zoar, the turn-off is clearly marked. MORE INFORMATION This gorge has been described by many in many different ways. Afrikaans write C Louis Leipold called it "..the seventh wonder of the Cape". We are convinced it is because he stumbled over it last. We cannot desribe it in words and invite you to visit and see for yourself. The road here shares this narrow gorge with a river and cross the water numerous times over its 17km length. The beauty of the area is all around you. You cannot help but notice the spectacular rock formations, colourful wildflowers, wildlife, birds...... If you take your time and explore on foot, you will see caves with San rock paintings. waterfalls and just so much more. Enjoy this beautiful part of creation.
