    HOW TO GET THERE
    12km outside the Karoo town of Cradock. About 280km from Port Elizabeth (and airport) and 800km from Cape Town.

    DETAIL
    The Mountain Zebra is one of the worlds rarest large mamals. At present they number about 350.
    The park was declared in 1937 in order to protect the Mountain Zebra which was then on the brink of extinction.
    A small number of other animals also browse through the park. Black Rhino and Buffalo were also reintroduced.
